HISTORY
The Toyota GT-One TS020 is a prototype that participated in the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1998. Toyota thanks to the changes to the FIA regulations is registered in the new LM-GTP category, the designer Andrè De Cortanze the aerodynamic lines making the car one of the fastest in the race, where it reached 351 km/h.
The Japanese Toyota Motorsports / TTE team with Geoff Lees, Thierry Boutsen and Ralf Kelleners at the wheel of the Toyota GT-One TS020 n.29 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1998 due to accident after one hundred ninety-one laps.
The race won by Porsche 911 GT1-98 n.26 with Laurent Aiello, Allan McNish and Stephane Ortelli, second finished Kazuyoshi Hoshino, Aguri Suzuki and Masahiko Kageyama at the wheel of the Nissan R390 GT1 n.32, while in third position Jorg Muller, Uwe Alzen and Bob Wollek with the Porsche 911 GT1-98 n.25.
