HISTORY
The Panoz LMP07 – Elan is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 2001. The prototype was designed by Andy Thorby.
The American Panoz Motorsports team with David Brabham, Jan Magnussen and Franck Lagorce at the wheel of the Panoz LMP07 – Elan n.12 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2001 due to electronic problem after eighty-five laps.
The race won to Emanuele Pirro, Frank Biella, Tom Kristensen with the Audi R8 n.1, second the Audi R8 n.2 of Laurent Aiello, Rinaldo Capello and Christian Pescatori, detached from a lap, while in third position Andy Wallace, Butch Leitzinger and Eric Van De Poele with the Bentley EXP Speed 8 n.8.
