The McLaren – Mercedes Benz MP4/22, participated in the 2007 Formula 1 World Championship. In the project participated: Paddy Lowe,Mike Coughlan,Pat Fry and Simon Lacey. After winning two world titles in a row with Renault Fernando switched to McLaren and during the season he won the Grand Prix of Malaysia, the Monaco, Europe and Italia. The Spanish driver fought for the world title until the last Grand Prix in Brazil. Teammate Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen with the Ferrari F2007 were the opponents in the season, with the victory at Interlagos the Finnish driver won the championship by only one point.
