HISTORY

The Jaguar XJ220C is the car of the Cat 4 class at the 24 hours of Le Mans 1993. The British TWR Jaguar Racing team with John Nielsen, David Brabham and David Coulthard at the wheel of the Jaguar XJ220C n.50 their disqualified at the 24 hours of Le Mans 1993.

The trio won the Cat 4 class, but the car was disqualified one month after the race for a report by the sports commissioners who had found the non-use of the catalytic converters, present on the road version, although it was allowed by the regulation and no other car in the race he used them and Jaguar had won the appeal, the car was still disqualified because the team had not respected the times for submitting the appeal as requested by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest.
