HISTORY
The Toyota Hybrid TS050 n.8 is a prototype that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2020. After the victory of 2019, again with the Toyota TS050. The FIA to balance performance with the other non-hybrid LMP1s, increases the ballast for the two Japanese hybrids at the start. The team replaces Spaniard Fernando Alonso with New Zealander Brandon Hartley
Sebastien Buemi, Brandon Hartley and Kazuki Nakajima at the wheel of the Toyota Hybrid TS050 N.8 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2020. Starting from the third position, for the whole race they were dominated by the twin car n.7 of Jose Maria Lopez, Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi, but a turbo problem forced him into the pits for about thirty minutes, reaching the finish line in third position six laps behind. Second of the two Toyotas was the Rebeillon RB13 n.1 with Bruno Senna, Gustavo Menezes and Norman Nato five laps behind.
