HISTORY

The Dome Zero RL-80 – Cosworth is a car that a participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1980. Designed by Minoru Hayashi the Japanese prototype derived from the road car and modified to participate in the French race. Compared to the 1979 car, the new version was twenty centimeters shorter and more power than the famous Ford Cosworth DFV was the engine used, tested for the duration races. The Japanese team Dome Co Ltd with Chris Craft and Bob Evans at the wheel of the Dome Zero RL-80 – Cosworth n.12 this arrived twenty-fifth at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1980 with a gap of sixty-seven laps from the winner Rondeau M379B n.16 with Jean Rondeau, Jean-Pierre Jabouille.
