HISTORY
The Peugeot 905 Evo1B is the prototype that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1992. The car was designed by Andre De Cortanze, under the supervision of the Sports Director Jean Todt who after the successes in the rally wished to undertake the Endurance adventure to win Le Mans. The 905 had a very advanced engine similar to those of Formula 1, so much to be able to supply in 1994 the engines at McLaren. Mauro Baldi, Philippe Alliot and Jean-Pierre Jabouille at the wheel of the Peugeot 905 Evo1B n.2 they arrived third at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1992 with a gap of seven laps to winner car of race Peugeot 905 n.1 with Mark Blundell, Yannik Dalmas, David Warwick.
In second place came the Toyota TS010 of Masanori Sekiya, Pierre-Henry Raphanel and Kenneth Acheson with a gap of six laps to winner car.
