LANCIA LC2 – FERRARI n.5
HISTORY
The Lancia LC2 – Ferrari is a prototype that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1984. After the experience with the LC1 the Italian manufacturer directed by Cesare Fiorio, he built a car for the Group C category. The LC2 had the closed cockpit was equipped with a 3000 cc Ferrari engine. Mauro Baldi, Hans Heyer and Paolo Barilla at the wheel of the Lancia LC2 -Ferrari n.5 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1984, due to engine failure after having covered two hundred and seventy five laps. The winner the race was Porsche 956B n.7 with Klaus Ludwig and Henry Pescarolo, in second place the Porsche 956 n.26 with Jean Rondeau and John Paul jr, while in third position the Porsche 956B n.33 with David Hobbs, Philippe Streiff and Sarel Van Der Merwe.
