HISTORY
The Bentley Speed Six is the winning car of the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1930. The English manufacturer is the team to beat, since 1927 dominates the race, and in 1930 presented itself in the starting grid with three Speed Six, a trying to beat them were the American Stutz and the German Mercedes. Sammy Davis and Clive Dunfee at the wheel of the Bentley Speed Six n.3 did not finish at the 24 hours of Le Mans 1930, due to an accident after driving twenty-one laps.
The race started with very few members and was always led by the English team that was never attacked by the main opponents who retired halfway through the race due to various problems. The race was won by the Bentley Speed Six n.4 driven by Woolf Barnato, Glen Kidston. In second place came the twin car, the Bentley Speed Six n.2 driven by Frank Clement and Richard Watney with a gap of six laps, while in third place the Talbot GB90 n.15 of Lewis and Eaton with a gap of seventeen laps.
