HISTORY
The Saleen S7-R is the car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010. Unveiled at the 2000 Monterey Historic Races by Steve Saleen, the Saleen S7 supercar was the first car built by Saleen. The strong passion for racing materialized in a few months the S7-R which debuted two months after the presentation of the traditional car at Laguna Seca. The French team Larbre Competition with Roland Berville, Julien Canal, Gabriele Gardel at the wheel of the Saleen S7-R n.50 finished thirteenth at the 24 Hours Le Mans 2010 with a gap of sixty six laps from the winners. The team won the class GT1.
The race was won by Audi R15 TDI plus n.9 with Mike Rockenfeller, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas, second Andre Lotterer, Benoit Treluyer, Marcel Fassler with the Audi R15 TDI plus n.8 whit a gap of one lap, while third Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Rinaldo Capello with the Audi R15 TDI plus n.7 whit a gap of three laps.
