HISTORY
The Porsche 911 GT1 is a prototype that participated at the 24-hour Le Mans in 1997. The car designed by Norbert Singer made his debut at Le Mans in 1996, where he won the GT1 class victory but not the overall victory. The 911 GT1 was equipped with a six-cylinder boxer.
The French Sté JB Jabouille-Bouresche team with Alain Ferte, Jurgen Von Gartzen and Olivier Thevenin at the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT1 n.29 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1997 due to broken engine after two hundred thirty-six laps.
The winner race was the TWR Porsche WSC n.7 of Michele Alboreto, Stafan Johansson and Tom Kristensen
