HISTORY
The Sauber – Mercedes-Benz C11 is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1991. The car was designed in collaboration between the Mercedes and the Team Sauber, respected the regulations of the Sport Prototype Championship.
The German Mercedes Benz Daimler AMG team with Jonathan Palmer, Stanley Dickens and Kurt Thilm at the wheel of the Sauber – Mercedes-Benz C11 n.32 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1991 due to broken engine mount after two hundred twenty-three laps. The race won by Mazda 787B n.55 of Johnny Herbert, Volker Weidler and Bertrand Gachot, in second place the Jaguar XJR-12 n.35 of Davy Jones, Raul Boesel and Michel Ferte while in third position the Jaguar XJR-12 n.34 of Bob Wollek, Teo Fabi and Kenneth Acheson.
