HISTORY
The Audi R8R is a car that took part in the 1999 Le Mans 24 Hours. The prototype was designed by Peter Ellary.
The German Audi Sport Team Joest team with Michele Alboreto, Laurent Aiello and Rinaldo Capello at the wheel of the Audi R8R n.7 finished fourth at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1999 with a gap of nineteen laps to winner.
The race was won by Pierluigi Martini, Yannik Dalmas, Joachim Winkelhock with the BMW V12 LMR n.15, second Ukyo Katayama, Toshio Suzuki, Kelichi Tsuchiya with the Toyota GT-One n.3 while third Emanuele Pirro, Frank Biella, Didier Theys with the Audi R8R n.8.
