HISTORY
The Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S is a car that took part in the 1999 Le Mans 24 Hours. The prototype was designed by Andy Thorby.
The American Panoz Motorsports Inc. team with David Brabham, Eric Bernard and Butch Leitzinger at the wheel of the Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S n.12 finished seventh at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1999 with a gap of twenty-nine laps to winner.
The race was won by Pierluigi Martini, Yannik Dalmas, Joachim Winkelhock with the BMW V12 LMR n.15, second Ukyo Katayama, Toshio Suzuki, Kelichi Tsuchiya with the Toyota GT-One n.3 while third Emanuele Pirro, Frank Biella, Didier Theys with the Audi R8R n.8.
