HISTORY
The Ferrari 156 F1 is a car that participated at the Formula 1 World Champion 1961 and 1962. The car was designed by the engineer Carlo Chiti in collaboration with the newly-appointed engineer Mauro Forghieri. It was the first rear-engine car of the Maranello stable to win the Formula 1 World Championship.
The Scuderia Ferrari team with the American driver Phill Hill at the wheel of the Ferrari 156 F1 winner the Formula 1 World Champion 1961. The teammate Wolfgang Von Trips finished second in drivers championship but died in the qualifying at the Italy Gran Prix. In the French Grand Prix debut the young Italian driver, Giancarlo Baghetti, he won straight to the first race with the Ferrari.
