HISTORY
The Audi R8 is a prototype that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2001. The German Audi Sport North America team with Laurent Aiello, Rinaldo Capello and Christian Pescatori at the wheel of the Audi R8 n.2 finished second at the 24 Hours Le Mans 2001 with a gap of one laps to winners Emanuele Pirro, Frank Biella, Tom Kristensen with the Audi R8 n.1. While in third position Andy Wallace, Butch Leitzinger and Eric Van De Poele with the Bentley EXP Speed 8 n.8.
