HISTORY
The Adler Super Trumpf Rennlimousine is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1937. Adler developed Paul Jaray’s ideas by modifying the Trumpf chassis into a Rennlimousine, or racing sedan, for the Trumpf chassis. He used this car for tests and above all, records and races.
The French Mme Anne-Cécile Rose-Itier team with Anne-Cecile Itier and Fritz Huschke Von Hanstein at the wheel of Adler Super Trumpf Rennlimousine n.35 disqualified in the 24 hours of Le Mans 1937 due to refuel premature oil. The race won by twin car Bugatti 57G Tank n.2 with Jean Pierre Wimille and Robert Benoist. In second place came the Delahaye 135CS n.14 led by Paul and Mongin with a gap of seven laps, while in third place the Delahaye 135CS n.10 of Dreyfus and Stoffel with a gap of twelve laps.
In the race the numerous French teams gave life to a close fight, conditioned by the accident that caused the death of two pilots, the English Pat Fairfield and the French Rene Kippeurt.
