HISTORY

The Alpine A424 is a prototype that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2024. The car is a Hypercar of type LMDh and was designed by Oreca for Alpine.

The French Alpine Endurance team with Paul-Loup Chatin, Ferdinand Habsburg-Lothringen and Charles Milesi at the wheel of the Alpine A424 n.35 did not finish in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2024 due to broken engine after seventy-five laps.

The race was won by Antonio Fuoco, Niklas Nielsen, Miguel Molina at the wheel of the Ferrari 499P n.50. In second place Jose Maria Lopez, Nick De Vries and Kamui Kobayashi at the wheel of the Toyota GR010 Hybrid n.7 with a gap of fourteen seconds, while in third position James Calado, Alessandro Pier Guidi and Antonio Giovinazzi at the wheel of the Ferrari 499P n.51 with a gap of thirty-six seconds.
