HISTORY

The Aston Martin AMR-1 is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1989. The car was designed in collaboration between the Max Bostrom, Ray Mallock.
The British Aston Martin team with Brian Redman, Michael Roe and Costas Los at the wheel of the Aston Martin AMR-1 n.18 finished eleventh at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1989 with a gap of fifty laps to winner.
The race was won by Sauber – Mercedes-Benz C9 n.63 with Jochen Mass, Manuel Reuter, Stanley Dickens, while in second place the Sauber – Mercedes-Benz C9 n.61 with Mauro Baldi, Kenneth Acheson and Gianfranco Brancatelli. In third position Porsche 962C n.9 with Bob Wollek, Hans-Joachim Stuck.
