HISTORY
The Audi R8 is a prototype that participated at the 24 hours of Le Mans 2004. The Audi decided not to participate with an official team, but to give its sports cars to private teams, just one of these was the Japanese team.
The Japanese Audi Sport Team Goh team with Seiji Ara, Rinaldo Capello and Tom Kristensen at the wheel of the Audi R8 n.5 winner the 24 hours of Le Mans 2004. Thanks to their reliability the R8 obtained a hat-trick, in second place with 41 seconds of detachment came the Audi of the team, Sport UK Team Veloqx with Johnny Herbert, Jamie Davies and Guy Smith, while in third place at 11 laps of the ADT Champion Racing J.J.Lehto, Marco Werner and Emanuele Pirro, the latter also won the 2004 American Le Mans Series Championship.
