HISTORY

The Audi R8C is a car that took part in the 1999 Le Mans 24 Hours. The prototype was designed by Peter Ellary.
The English Audi Sport UK team with James Weaver, Andy Wallace and Perry McCarty at the wheel of the Audi R8C n.10 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1999 a due to a broken transmission after coverage one hundred ninety-eight laps.

The race was won by Pierluigi Martini, Yannik Dalmas, Joachim Winkelhock with the BMW V12 LMR n.15, second Ukyo Katayama, Toshio Suzuki, Kelichi Tsuchiya with the Toyota GT-One n.3 while third Emanuele Pirro, Frank Biella, Didier Theys with the Audi R8R n.8.
