HISTORY
The Audi R8R is a car that took part in the 1999 Le Mans 24 Hours. The prototype was designed by Peter Ellary.
The German Audi Sport Team Joest team with Emanuele Pirro, Frank Biella and Didier Theys at the wheel of the Audi R8R n.8 finished third at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1999 with a gap of five laps to winner.
The race was won by Pierluigi Martini, Yannik Dalmas, Joachim Winkelhock with the BMW V12 LMR n.15, second Ukyo Katayama, Toshio Suzuki, Kelichi Tsuchiya with the Toyota GT-One n.3.
