HISTORY

The BRM P57 is an english car that participated in the Formula One World Championship in 1962. British Racing Motors was founded by the duo Richard Mays and Peter Burton, Burton designed the engine that equipped the BRM P57, the chassis instead was the work of the engineer Tony Rudd.

Graham Hill with the BRM P57 won his first world title. During the season, the British driver won four Grand Prix races: GP Holland, GP Germany, GP Italy and GP South Africa. The season was marked by the challenge between Graham Hill and Jim Clark on the Lotus. The world championship was decided at the last Grand Prix in South Africa, Clark dominated the race when at 20 laps from the end he was forced to retire due to the breaking of the engine, Hill that until then was second passed to the command of the race and won the world championship.
