HISTORY
The Ferrari 333 SP n.3 is a prototype that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998. In 1994 Ferrari decided to return to competing in the Sport Prototype races but not officially, but offering a car to its customers. The 333 SP was designed by Dallara and fitted with a Ferrari engine with concepts derived from Formula 1. In the five years that followed the Maranello house, it entrusted the modifications to Michelotto Automobili.
The French Sté JB Jabouille team with Jean-Christophe Bouillion, Jerome Policand and Vincenzo Sospiri with the Ferrari 333 SP n.5 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1998 due to broken transmission after one hundred eighty-seven.
The race won by Porsche 911 GT1-98 n.26 with Laurent Aiello, Allan McNish and Stephane Ortelli, second finished Kazuyoshi Hoshino, Aguri Suzuki and Masahiko Kageyama at the wheel of the Nissan R390 GT1 n.32, while in third position Jorg Muller, Uwe Alzen and Bob Wollek with the Porsche 911 GT1-98 n.25.
