The race won by Renault Alpine A442B n.2 with Didier Pironi, Jean-Pierre Jaussaud. Second the Porsche 936-78 n.6 with Bob Wollek, Jurgen Barth, Jacky Ickx, while third position the Porsche 936-77 n.7 with Hurley Haywood, Peter Gregg, Reinhold Joest.
