The Italian driver with five points in season achieved one third place in the Grand Prix of Australian. The teammate Japan driver Taki Inoue did not achieved points and the footwork team finished eighth at the constructors’ title. The championship driver was won by Michael Schumacher with the Benetton – Renault B195 n.1.
