HISTORY

The Jaguar XJR-12 is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1991. The car was designed by Tony Southgate. The manufacturer comes to the race with the new Jaguar XJR-14, but after qualifications, decided to use the old model XJR-12.

The English TWR Jaguar Racing Suntec team with David Leslie, Mauro Martini and Jeff Krosnoff at the wheel of the Jaguar XJR-12 n.36 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1991, due to failure transmission after one hundred eighty-three laps. The race won by Mazda 787B n.55 of Johnny Herbert, Volker Weidler and Bertrand Gachot, in second place the Jaguar XJR-12 n.35 of Davy Jones, Raul Boesel and Michel Ferte while in third position the Jaguar XJR-12 n.34 of Bob Wollek, Teo Fabi and Kenneth Acheson.
