HISTORY
The Matra Simca MS670B n.11 is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1973. After the first victory with the Matra MS670 of 1972, the French manufacturer decides to also aim at the victory of the Sport Prototype Championship abandoning the Formula Championship 1, the main changes were the change provided by Porsche and a decrease in weight.
Henry Pescarolo and Gerard Larrousse at the wheel of the Matra Simca MS670B n.11 winner the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1973, for Matra and for Pescarolo it was the second consecutive success. In second place with six laps of distance came the Ferrari 312PB n.16 of Arturo Merzario and Carlos Pace who despite being the fastest on the track during the race suffered technical problems that slowed their recovery, while in third place the Matra n.12 Jabouille and Jaussaud with twenty-four laps. The Matra MS670B during the season also won the World Sport Prototype Championship.
