HISTORY
The Matra Simca MS670 is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1972. The car derived from the MS 660, and it was a decided attempt by the French manufacturer to win Le Mans and bring the trophy to France after the last victory of a transalpine car in 1950 with the Talbot-Lago T26 GS.
The French Equipe Matra Simca Shell team with Francois Cevert and Howden Ganley at the wheel of the Matra Simca MS670 n.14 finished second in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1972. The race won by Henry Pescarolo and Graham Hill at the wheel of the Matra Simca MS670 n.15, thirds with nineteen laps of delay the Porsche 908 LH n.60 of Joest, Weber, Casoni.
