HISTORY
The McLaren – Ford Cosworth M29 is a car that participated at the Formula 1 World Champion in 1980. The British team with Alain Prost at the wheel of the McLaren – Ford Cosworth M29 n.8 finished sixteenth in the Formula 1 World Champion 1980 with five points in season. The French driver obtained the best result in the Grand Prix of Brazil at Interlagos circuit with a fifth place in addition to three sixth places, in his first season in Formula 1.
With the team mate John Watson the Mclaren team obtained the ninth place in the constructors’ championship
The championship was won by the William FW07B of Alan Jones
