HISTORY
The McLaren – Mercedes Benz MP4/23, participated in the 2008 Formula 1 World Championship. The car was an evolution of the McLaren MP4/22 that lost the world championship in 2007. In the project participated: Paddy Lowe, Neil Oatley, Tim Goss, McKiernan. Heikki Kovalainen with the McLaren Mercedes Benz MP4/23 n.23 arrived seventh in the 2008 World Championship, with one victory in season.
During the season he won the Grand Prix of Hungary. The team mate of the Finnish driver for that season was Lewis Hamilton, who won the five Grand Prix, despite the six seasonal victories the English team failed to win the constructors’ title.
