The English driver obtained the best result in the Grand Prix of Austria at Zeltweg circuit with a third place.

With team mate Carlos Sainz jr they brought McLaren to third place in the constructors’ championship

The championship was won by the Mercedes W11 n.44 of Lewis Hamilton
