The race was won by Pedro Rodriguez and Lucien Bianchi at the wheel of the Ford GT40 n.9 of the Team John Wyer Automotive Engineering, while in third place Porsche 908 n.33 of Rolf Stommelen and Jochen Neerpasch of the official team.
