The British Charles Ivey Racing team with Paul Smith, David Ovey and Margie Smith-Haas at the wheel of the Porsche 930 n.121 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1984, due to oil leak after having covered one hundred and forty-six laps. The winner the race was Porsche 956B n.7 with Klaus Ludwig and Henry Pescarolo, in second place the Porsche 956 n.26 with Jean Rondeau and John Paul jr, while in third position the Porsche 956B n.33 with David Hobbs, Philippe Streiff and Sarel Van Der Merwe.
