HISTORY

The Porsche 962C is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1985.

The German Rothmans Porsche team with Al Holbert, John Watson and Vern Schuppan at the wheel of the Porsche 962C n.3 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1985 due to broken engine after two hundred ninety-nine laps. The race was won by Porsche 956B n.7 of Ludwig, Barilla and Winter deployed by the Joest Racing team winners of the race. In second place the Porsche 956 GTI n.14 with Jonathan Palmer, James Weaver, Richard Lloyd, while in third position the Porsche 962C n.2 with Derek Bell and Hans Joachim Stuck.
