HISTORY
The Rondeau M379B – Cosworth n.15 is a car that a participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1980. Designed by its founder Jean Rondeau the French prototype was born from the bases of the Inaltera LM, the famous Ford Cosworth DFV was the engine used, tested for the duration races.
Henry Pescarolo and Jean Ragnotti at the wheel of the Rondeau M379B – Cosworth n.15 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1980, due to engine failure in the one hundred and twenty-fourth lap.. The race initially conditioned by the rain saw the furious comeback of the Porsche 908/80 n.9 of Jacky Ickx and Reinhold Joest faster, but at six hours of the end he had problems with the gearbox and lost three laps from the winning car Rondeau M379B n.16 of Jean Rondeau and Jean Pierre Jassaud, third at the finish line Gordon Spice, Philippe Martin and Jean-Michel Martin with the Rondeau M379B n.17
