HISTORY
The Williams – Renault FW17 is a car that participated at the Formula 1 World Championship in 1995. The car was designed by Adrian Newey and Patrick Head. The partnership with Renault, the best engine of the era, completed an aerodynamically exceptional car.
The British Rothmans Williams Renault team with David Coulthard at the wheel of the Williams – Renault FW17 n.6 finished third in the Formula 1 World Championship 1995. During the season the Scottish driver won one grand prix at the Portugal Grand Prix. Together with his teammate Damon Hill they took Williams to second place in the constructors’ title. The drivers championship was won by Michael Schumacher with Benetton-Renault B195 n.1.
